  • https://fb.watch/AbCdEfGhIj/

How to tell whether a video is public

Open the link in a private browsing window while logged out. If the video plays, it is public. If Facebook asks you to log in, the video is restricted and cannot be processed here.

Supported link shapes

Watch links (facebook.com/watch/?v=…), permalink URLs and fb.watch short links all point at a single video. Profile, page and group URLs do not.

Frequently asked questions

Why does my Facebook link ask me to log in?
The video is not public. Only videos that play for a logged-out visitor can be analysed.
Can I download videos from a private group?
No. Group content requires membership and an authenticated session.
Can I download a Facebook Story?
No. Stories are not publicly accessible media.
Do you store the videos I download?
No. Files are processed temporarily and deleted automatically once the download link expires, normally within 15 to 30 minutes. Nothing is kept in a permanent library.
